Just Another Button Company sells prepackaged packs of buttons for charts using their buttons. Give me the name of the designer and the name of the design and I'll know which button pack to order for you. This will save you having to key in all of the individual buttons needed. The cost of the buttons packs versus buying individual buttons is the same.

tall The cross stitch sample will be stitched on Weeks Dye Works 30 count Havana linen, but you can stitch yours on ANY neutral color, as long as it is dark enough to allow a contrast between the fabric and two of the floss colors that JABC knows will be used in the spoon rack--Weeks Dye Works Parchment and Straw. JABC plans to use Crescent Colours, The Gentle Art and Weeks Dye Works floss. JABC suggests sticking close to the 30 count size so the buttons are the proper scale on your finished piece. For 30 count linen, they are suggesting to cut the linen to 18" x 27" which is a fat quarter. The first segment will be the January teaspoon, followed by February, March and April. In month five, the top of the spoon rack will be released. Month six will be May, followed by the remainder of the months. The final release will be the lower section of the spoon rack. Each segment will have buttons. |

You may order buttons one of two ways. 1) key in the button number and the name for each button on the on-line order form or 2) give us the name of the designer and the name of the design and we will tell you if there is a Designer Pack which is prepackaged for it.
Just Another Button Company offers over 800 styles of buttons. The designs are built in three dimensions, so the color and details go all the way through. That means each button is reversible--birds and mittens can face either direction. Because the buttons are made by hand, the shapes have a folk art flavor--no two snowmen have exactly the same expression! Our buttons are machine washable and dry cleanable. We recommend air drying and avoid ironing (we avoid ironing in general, but the buttons can't handle the direct heat). We do not recommend our buttons as closures, but rather embellishments. Because polymer clay is a plastic, the buttons are very lightweight, so you can add lots to even a small project! (From JABC website.) |
